Developing a Magento Based Product Catalog Website For Footwear Products

Client Requirements:

The client approached us for developing a product catalog website based on Magento. He wanted the buy option completely disabled.

Our Approach:

How Beautiful is an online product catalog website featuring quality shoes for both men & women. Men can choose from the available classic & casual styles while women have the option of picking elegant designs available in the range.

Working on the project, our developers built the website using PHP, Magento, jQuery technologies. We implemented suitable functionality to enable users look for the nearest store by entering details like state, country and zip code. Following are the three main pages we made for this site –

Main Landing Page
Product Listing Page or Category Page
Product Detail Page

While Main landing Page displays the main categories of brands, Category page features Customized Layered Navigation so that users can filter all displayed products in terms of color, styles, brands, and prices. We implemented the Color Swatch functionality in the product detail page so that product images are displayed according to the selected color & size.

We integrated HTML into the Magento e-commerce site and also did the necessary PSD to responsive HTML conversion. We also added relevant functionality that allowed admin to login to the backend using a username and password. The admin could even change their password or retrieve the forgotten password. The admin also had full control over managing the content of the static pages of the site. Following are some other activities admin had the access to do –

Create product catalog
Add/edit/delete products listed under different categories
Add registered users and create user groups
